おもしろいのは、男女共学にすると女子のほうが成績がよく (25歳くらいまで続く)、男女別学にすると男子のほうが成績がよくなる、という傾向は、どの文化でも見られる特徴なようである。だいたい同じ年齢なら女子のほうが勉強ができる、と思っていたので、別学 (男子校) にすると男子のほうが成績がよい、というのは意外であった。
