今年４５才になる独身女です。いつかは人並に恋愛をして結婚するものと思っていました。それなのに一体どこで道に迷ったのか、ズルズルとこの年まで独り者です。（苦笑）

幸い仕事には恵まれ、老後の経済的な心配もありませんが、妊娠・出産・育児を経験出来なかった事は、今でも悔いが残ります。敗因は、「身の程知らず」「傲慢」「狭量」。理想は高くない、と言いつつ結局「身の程知らず」。若い頃、男性に媚びる（当時はそう見えていた）適齢期の友人達を蔑視し、「ありのままの自分」を貫く事に固執。女としての魅力もない癖に、男性のちょっとした弱さが見えるとバッサリ斬り捨てる狭量さ。男性優位に激しく抵抗しつつも、一方で（私の相手の）男性には全て私より優れていて欲しいと願う矛盾。共に手を携えて生きていく伴侶、と捉えられなかったのは私の方でした。男性達も馬鹿じゃない。こんな私を選ぶ訳がない。

私から見れば、皆さんはまだお若いです。どうか同じ轍を踏まれぬようお祈りします。
